Canadian Red Cross Disaster Management group with Chief Hardisty and Executive Director Peter Wesley of the Moose Cree First Nation.
On November 14, 2012, the Canadian Red Cross will open a satellite office at Moose Cree First Nation. This is the first Red Cross office in a First Nation community in Ontario and the second in Canada. Working closely with the Red Cross branch office in Timins, the Moose Cree First Nations office will support the development and delivery of existing Red Cross programs and services in the Moose Cree community. One of the first programs to operate from this satellite office will be a disaster management program. This is an exciting and unique partnership for the Canadian Red Cross!
