On March 21, some of our Meals on Wheels clients in Ontario had a surprise: their meals were delivered to them by their local mayor! The mayors were participating in the annual Mayors for Meals campaign to help raise awareness about nutritional issues along with importance of supporting programs such as Meals on Wheels.
In the above photo, Timmins, ON Mayor Tom Laughren (one of this year’s participants) delivers a meal to one of our Meals on Wheels clients, Gil Hebert.
